This light filled, ground floor suite has beautiful views from the bay window overlooking the garden and directly out to Mount Wellington, often snow-covered in winter.
Sleep Tight!
The bed is a full King size. The interior sprung mattress and quilted latex overlay were hand made for us right here in Hobart by A H Beard, a specialist bedding firm founded 120 years ago. The sheets and pillowcases are of finest quality Egyptian cotton.
Furniture
The antique furniture includes a beautiful Sheraton Revival wardrobe with ample hanging space, big drawers and deep shelves, and its original matching dressing table. Under the bay window you can sit and work at the generous antique table, or relax in a comfortable arm chair with a book from our own collection of old volumes, many of them rarities from Tasmania’s colonial past.
Bathroom
The spacious bathroom, entered via a concealed “jib” door, features a magnificent original chimneypiece and, just to prove we are not entirely lost in the past, a large jacuzzi.
