Wonderful weddings are part of what we do at Corinda, without disturbing other guests or our near neighbours.
You and your family and friends assemble during the day in our enormous, flower-filled formal garden for canapes and a welcome glass of Tasmanian champagne – or, if the weather is unfriendly, in our magnificent Drawing Room instead. The actual ceremony takes place either inside or in the garden: the choice is yours.
For those all-important photographs, there can be no finer location than Corinda. After another drink or two, and more nibbles, everyone disperses to party on at a nearby specialist venue of your choice. On request, our experts will help you choose a photographer, a musician and find the party venue that suits your needs.
Before the big day, and afterwards if you like, the bridal couple, their nearest and dearest and favoured friends can stay in our Cottages and garden Pavilions as long as they wish.
Something Special: A Gourmet Wedding!
Chaxi Alfonso Higuera, one of Corinda’s co-owners, learned her traditional cooking skills at her grandmother’s knee in Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands.
Chaxi’s signature dish is her authentic Canary Islands paella, made with slow cooked rice, Tasmanian grown saffron and freshly caught seafood, particularly abalone and prawns. Piled high and served on crisp white linen in Corinda’s incomparable garden, with an appropriate Tassie Reisling or even Champagne, this is something right outside the box that your guests will never forget.
