Corinda Cooking School

Have you ever wanted to know more about the art of Spanish cooking? Do you long to improve your skills in the kitchen and around the paella pan? Corinda’s resident chef and co-owner Chaxi Afonso Higuera can help you. Born and bred in the Canary Islands she has perfected her craft in kitchens around the world and at her mother’s apron strings.

Her cooking companion and partner in crime, chef Ben Gilligan will join her, who spent years travelling and eating his way around Spain, and learning from the master herself. If authentic Spanish cuisine is something you love, or just something you’d love to add to your repertoire, these classes are for you.

Chef Ben Gilligan is French trained and lived part of his life in Mexico and the USA so in October and November we’ll be running courses in Mexican (the authentic kind!) and a traditional Thanksgiving feast.

Courses run for four-hours, from 11am – 3pm and include hands on skill building, unique and authentic ingredients and classic techniques in a fun and friendly environment. You get to eat what you make, try and test your skills and hone your method for flawless cooking.

Classes include morning tea, coffee, total course preparation, a full lunch of food you’ve helped prepare, a take home box of authentic ingredients and a recipe booklet of all dishes developed.

The course is $225 per person, with a maximum of 12 people. Book your spot now. They are limited and fill up fast
